Polypropylene Random Copolymer (PPR) pipes and fittings are light-weight plastic piping systems that are thicker than PVC pipes. PPR pipes can withstand high temperatures and pressure therefore, making it viable to be a replacement for galvanized or stainless pipes. PPR pipes are safe and non-toxic, which makes the PPR the best choice for drinking water piping systems.

Some advantages of PPR Pipes and Fittings may include:

  • Easy to install

  • Environmentally friendly

  • Non-toxic

  • Smooth inner surface

  • Long term service

  • Can withstand up to 80°C (or more) of heat

  • High resistance to some chemical substances

  • Color, odor, and taste of water retention

  • Provides heat and sound insulation

7

Pressure Tank and Pressure Pump System

7.png

Pressure tanks help store water under pressure when the pump is not running. It also builds up a reserve supply of water during times of high demand. Water is pumped into the tank containing air, compressing the air, and putting the water under pressure. The more air compressed, the greater the water pressure. As the water stored in the tank is being used, the pressure in the tank lowers. The pump runs when the pressure inside it reaches a certain preset pressure and fills up the tank up to the preset maximum pressure then shuts off automatically (when equipped with a pressure switch).

Some advantages of Pressure Tank & Pressure Pump Systems may include:

  • Improves water flow, supply, and pressure

  • Regulates water pressure

  • Supports water demand within the household/ establishment

  • Can help distribute water pressure in multistory buildings
